Stamford Black Knight Independent is a nationally ranked Independent A Class competitive indoor drumline. We are a 2011 WGI PIA Class finalist, placing 10th in the world. This year marked Stamford's second year on the independent scene. Before venturing into the independent world, our winter percussion program had great success scholastically.

Our mission is to provide young adults with an activity that instills pride, teamwork, motivation, leadership, values and respect while recognizing the individuality in talents and contributions of all members. Our program is dedicated to "striving for excellence" in all musical and educational forms. Stamford Black Knight Independent combines the best of music, art and athleticism while still having fun.
