The Stamford High School Black Knights Marching Band is the largest musical ensemble at Stamford High School. The marching band is a competitive group of wind, brass and percussion players (8th to 12th grade students districted for Stamford High School are eligible to join). The marching band performs themed field shows comprised of music and visual drill. All music performed is memorized, and an experienced staff works with the group for the duration of the season. The Black Knights Marching Band has a competition schedule, traveling to schools around New England. The marching band also performs at the Holiday Spectacular Parade in Stamford, and at all home football games in Boyle Stadium.
