The Jazz Ensemble is an auditioned group of musicians that performs repertoire from the 20th and 21st centuries, specializing in swing, funk,  bebop, Latin, rock and jazz fusion. The Jazz Ensemble meets 2nd period during the school day, and after school during the week. They perform at school concerts, regional jazz competitions and festivals around Connecticut and New England. Past performances include the Berklee High School Jazz Festival in Boston, Norwalk Jazz Festival and the WCSU Jazz Festival.

There will be an informational meeting for all students interested in joining the Jazz Ensemble in November following the Marching Band season. The rehearsals begin in November and run through May, with performances from February through May.
