The Stamford High School Concert Band is comprised of musicians from 9th to 12th grade, and is the largest curricular ensemble at Stamford High School. Eighth graders who are suggested by their band director may join the ensemble. The ensemble performs music from the Classical and Romantic eras, as well as the turn of the century and modern compositions from the last 30 years. The band also plays music from soundtracks and medleys of the works of famed composers such as Aaron Copland and Leonard Bernstein. The Concert Band meets during the school day, and once a week after school. The ensemble performs at school concerts throughout the year.
