Knight Music 2009 is now successfully concluded.  We have pictures and video of the event! Scores are posted on the MAC Website.

Ten marching bands from New York and Connecticut competed in the 10th annual Knight Music marching band competition. The weather sounded scary all week, but when the day came we had decent weather with even a peek of sun in the middle (if you blinked you missed it!).  But with 10 great bands performing, and die-hard fans there to watch them, it turned out to be a great show after all.  There were some awesome performances at this 2/3rd point of the season.  Shows are really coming together with final polish and precision.

We hope those of you who braved the weather enjoyed the great show, great food, and the hospitality of our school and band parents organization.

It's nothing without great bands...

A special thank you to Bunnell, Westhill, Mahopac, Brookfield, Bethel, Newtown, Trumbull, Norwalk, and Brien McMahon High Schools for attending and making our show great.

It's about the community...

Community support was out in force!  The SHS Band Parents organization ran the show, but not without plenty of support from the community.  Way too many to name, but we'll mention the support of our Pitney Bowes volunteers, youth groups such as the National Honor Society and Tri M, Junior Achievement Company Flow (sponsored by Price Waterhous), Black Knights Marching Band alumni, custodians and field crew, and staff and administration of the Stamford Public Schools. Additionally thanks to our award presenters and supporters from Kiwanis club of Stamford, the Board of Education, and local political leaders.
