We would like to thank Phil Waselik and his staff for the superb instruction and guidance given to the students. Yes it was hot, humid and sticky but the kids enjoyed every bit of it. New friendships were made, old acquaintances were renewed and the year is off to an exciting start.

The show is coming together and it looks like we are off to a great season. Please note that if any forms have not been turned in or the initial dues deposit of $100 paid please do so by the next practice on Tuesday, August 25.  The discount for full payment of dues is extended to August 31.

We would like also to thank the parents that have helped with different events that took place this week, to Mike O'Shea and Ed Strain and the parents (Gina   Guarneri, Beth Keenan, Evelyn Simpson and Mark Bishop) that helped with the clean up and replacement of the container. It was a hard and dirty job that needed to be done. Behind the scenes we want to thank Peter Hopkins and Ed Strain for working on building and painting the props for our Fall Season.

Thank you to Judy Kinzler for coordinating the potluck dinner on Wednesday and every parent that contributed food, drinks and dessert. Everyone had a great time and the food was abundant and delicious.

Thank you to Gina Guarneri and the parents that helped with fitting the uniforms on Thursday. If you have not been fitted please contact Gina Guarneri by email at GMG965@aol.com to make sure you have your uniform before competition starts. Gina is also coordinating the Joe Corbi's pizza, cookie, and appetizer etc. fundraiser.  Forms and payments must be returned to Gina on or before September 12.

Thank you also to Chris Strain for ordering the warm-up suits and heading up the Grade A grocery card sale. This fundraiser provides the band with a year-round stream of income thanks to Chris' selling persistence.   Please contact Chris or call 536-2961 if you would like to purchase cards.

Thank you to all the parents that came to see our show (but Mother Nature had different plans) and for helping with the coordination and clean up of the pizza party. Pizza was great and so was the salad made by Sharon Beadle. Thank you again to all the parents that provided drinks and dessert as we all had a fun time and plenty to eat. We apologize if we left your name out but you are not forgotten and we hope we can continue to count on you.

We are happy to have a new group of parents that have already stepped up. We thank you and would like you to know that continuity is very important. Your support is greatly appreciated.
