The Stamford High School Marching Band began the 2009-2010 season with an exciting evening last week. Over 20 incoming freshman performed with most of the returning members. The opener and ballad were rehearsed along with some exercises from the warm-up book.

It is nice to see friendships being created. The students were spoken to by the Director, M. Waselik about the high level of expectations that are expected from everyone, along with the staff. This looks to be a fun season for everyone that are involved. After the rehearsal pizza was served to cap off the fun evening.

In attendance was Dave Brush (program and percussion), Amorette Languelle (woodwinds), Jess Tenca (pit), Chase Bronstein (battery), and the dedicated Band Parents Association.

We will have rehearsal again this coming Thursday, June 11th, and see the schedule below.

All winds are expected on the following dates: Thursday June 11th 6-8, Monday July 13th 5:30-8:30, Monday August 3rd 5:30-8:30.

Percussion will be assigned other rehearsal nights. Please check the website consistently for updates.

***Preseason
Everyone (mandatory) August 17th-21st, 9-9 at Stamford High School. The staff has an exciting show planned, so come excited to learn and create our own destiny!

These dates are very important to us. We need everyone who are in town at these rehearsals. This is a new beginning for the SHS Black Knights!
