Tree Lot Clean-Up

Tree Lot Clean-Up

We will be dismantling the tree stands, cleaning the trailer and packing everything away this Saturday 1/7 starting at 9am. We are looking for as many volunteers as possible to help with these tasks. The more people we have, the faster it will go. Thank you!

Winter Concert

Winter Concert

Our Winter Concert will be held on Wednesday 12/21 at 7pm. All band members should report to the band room at 6pm.

The dress code is as follows:

Boys: Suit or dress pants, button down shirt and a blazer. A tie and dress shoes are required.

Girls: Dress nice for the concert. No jeans or UGGS. Dresses and skirts are allowed, but the length must be below the knee.

Pasta Pot Luck Dinner

This Friday 8/26, the Band Parents Association will be holding a pasta pot luck dinner for our band members and their families. The band parents will be providing the pasta, but there will be a sign up sheet  to bring additional items needed for the dinner. Please be sure to RSVP and let the band parents know how many members of your family will be attending. We need a head count by WEDNESDAY 8/24 the latest.

Mandatory Meeting

Parents and Guardians there is a mandatory meeting scheduled on Wednesday, August 24th at 7:30pm. This will be a short but crucial meeting to the band's success this year. Please mark the date down on your calendar so you will be able to attend. Please check back here for updates regarding this meeting.

Attention Graduating Seniors and Families!

If you no longer want your band warm up suit, please consider donating it back to the program. There are many families who could use the support and they would be very appreciative of this gesture. If this is something you are interested in doing, please contact Mr. Beratis.

Water Donations

It has been a standing tradition that the band program is allowed to sell water at graduation. We are looking for parents to donate water for this event. If you are willing to donate please bring the water to the band room or contact the Rutsteins (4ruts@optonline.net ) to make arrangements for the water to be dropped off at their house.

Also, we are looking for large water coolers that we can borrow for graduation. Please make sure your name appears on your cooler so that we know who to return it to.

Band Banquet Form

Please take a look at the attachment if you are interested in attending the band banquet on June 8th.

The money and form are due by June 1st.

Leadership Role Auditions

If your child wants to be a leader for the marching band, he/she must audition.

Available positions:

  • Drum Major
  • Section Leader
  • Percussion Captain

Auditions will be held on June 6th and 7th from 3-5:30p. These auditions will be taken very seriously because those who are chosen are expected to be role models for the band and everything that we are involved in. If your child can't attend due to a conflict please contact George so he can arrange a make-up date.

Band Banquet

Our band banquet will be held on Wednesday, June 8th from 6p-9p at Pellicci's restaurant (96 Stillwater Ave. Stamford, CT). The cost is $26 per person and that includes a full meal, drinks and dessert.

Memorial Day Parade

The Stamford Memorial Day Parade will take place on Sunday, May 29th. ATTENDANCE IS ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY. All members should report to the band room at 8am. Please be sure to eat a healthy breakfast before coming to the school.

Mr. Beratis has scheduled a parade rehearsal for Wednesday, May 25th from 5:00p-6:30p. All members must attend this rehearsal.
